Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Limited (CATL) announced that it has achieved carbon neutrality across its core operations as of the end of 2025, making it the world's only battery manufacturer to reach zero-carbon operations at a terawatt-hour (TWh) shipment scale.

Key Details:

• Operational Footprint: All 20 of CATL's battery manufacturing plants have received ISO 14068-1 certification as zero-carbon facilities, powered 100 percent by zero-carbon electricity in core operations.

• Ecosystem Expansion: The Chinese battery giant officially released its 2035 value-chain carbon neutrality roadmap, transitioning its sustainability focus from internal operations to collaborative industry-wide decarbonization.

• "Carbon Chain" Coverage: According to CATL Chairman and CEO Robin Zeng, the company's carbon management system now extends across its internal battery production processes and upstream core suppliers to audit lifecycle emissions.
