The championships represent the first time Shanghai has hosted the FAI's highest-level single-sport tournament in more than 30 years. The organizers will also build up a virtual sports engagement zone at the venue, where visitors can practice piloting drone soccer and learn about cutting-edge technologies.

Tickets are priced at 80 yuan (US$11) per person. Those who purchase a three-day pass will enjoy unlimited access.

The trophy draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese armillary sphere, symbolizing Eastern scientific civilization. Its spherical design reflects the dynamic aesthetics of drone soccer, while the base is shaped like a magnolia, which is Shanghai's city flower.

Additionally, the 2025 Shanghai Technological Sports Expo will debut concurrently with the competition at the Shanghai Indoor Stadium. As the first exhibition in China focused on technological sports, it aims to serve as a platform for the exchange and integration of industries such as technology, sports, education, and cultural creativity.
