Changning gets into top gear for 'Best Hongqiao' Carnival

With the launch of the "Best Hongqiao" carnival, Changning District is hosting a variety of cultural, tourism, commerce, sports, and exhibition events, creating a unique inbound tourism destination with its vibrant charm.

The promotion video "Let's Meet Here" was premiered at the event.

Here are some highlight activities:

Urban Micro-Tourism

With "encounter" as the central theme, four urban micro-tour routes will be introduced, focusing on art encounters, time-space encounters, sensory encounters, and life encounters.

These routes connect Changning's cultural and tourism landmarks, including Columbia Circle and Wuyi MIX320, while offering immersive experiences such as music performances, art exhibitions, and drama workshops.

Additionally, the "Artist Guide" special program will invite artists to showcase Changning's urban landmarks and micro-tour routes through video presentations.

"City Encounters Hudec" Exhibition

Combining rich historical materials and multimedia interactions, the exhibition allows visitors to explore the life of Hudec from the "Changning perspective."

Hongqiao Grassland Music Festival

The "Barbie" movie symphony audio-visual concerts will feature classic images from the film accompanied by a live orchestra, immersing the audience in the movie's charm.

Dunhuang Culture and Art Exhibition

A cultural and art feast spanning 3,000 kilometers will take place at Yi Fung Place, bringing the ancient Dunhuang culture to life in Shanghai.

The Mogao Grottoes, also known as the Thousand-Buddha Caves, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Dunhuang, in northwest China's Gansu Province, and are recognized as a world-renowned cultural and artistic treasure.

This event will showcase a diverse collection of rare artifacts from the Dunhuang Academy.

The 2025 Shanghai International Light Festival - Changning Branch Venue

It adopts a performance model and integrates the Yan'an Elevated Road, the Suzhou Creek, the Hengfu (Hengshan-Fuxing Road) Historical Conservation Zone, the Zhongshan Park Business District, and the Hongqiao-Gubei Business District.

Through digital 3D design and commercial, technological, fashion, ecological, and other attributes, it demonstrates the development trajectory of Changning as an international urban area.
