Shanghai Disney Resort is about to get even wilder. Starting from November 18, the resort is transforming its unique Zootopia land into a furry sequel, complete with new scenes, characters, and plenty of clever Easter eggs.

On November 18, Shanghai Disney Resort will join hands with The Walt Disney Company China to host the Global Celebration of Zootopia 2 in the world's first and only Zootopia-themed land at Shanghai Disneyland.

Since opening in 2023, Zootopia has become one of the park's biggest draws, charming millions of guests from around the globe. Now, the resort is doubling down – working with artists from Walt Disney Animation Studios to extend the new film's storyline directly into the land.

That means fresh decoration, new immersive details, upgraded entertainment, and limited-time experiences. All designed to blur the line between "movie" and "I swear I just saw Nick Wilde walk by."

A new Zootopia movie means a new Gazelle anthem. Shakira returns as the superstar icon, performing "Zoo," which guests can hear after riding Hot Pursuit. From November 19 to January 27, the finale scene gets an upgrade – new lighting, music, and effects for a proper Zootopian dance-off.

The sequel also introduces Marsh Market, a canal-laced district now cleverly woven into the land. You'll catch it in updated signposts, cryptic posters, new billboards, and refreshed city maps along Mane Street.

When Zootopia 2 arrives in cinemas on November 26, Shanghai Disney Resort will already be in full celebration mode.
