Shanghai is hosting the 2025 Shanghai International Paper Art Biennale at the Fengxian Museum.

Under the theme "the supreme virtue is like water", the exhibition presents 118 works by nearly 100 paper artists from around the world. It explores how paper, with its inherent purity, flexibility, and resilience, mirrors the vitality of water, embodying both tradition and innovation in contemporary paper art.

The exhibition is divided into four main sections: international paper art, paper design, innovative paper art, and generative paper art, with 70 works contributed by overseas artists.

Alongside the exhibition, a series of workshops, guided tours, and hands-on activities will take place at Fengxian Museum and Yanzi Memorial Hall.
