Resettlement
A resettlement housing project in Huating, Wujing Town, has topped out its first residential building. The 180,000-square-meter development will deliver homes for more than 1,600 families by 2027.
Bond initiative
The Xinzhuang Industrial Zone has launched a long-term government bond initiative to replace outdated elevators in residential buildings in several neighborhoods.
In 2025, workers replaced 118 elevators older than 15 years. It took an average of 30 days from construction to commissioning, and social workers and subdistrict authorities worked hard to ensure a smooth construction and renovation process.
New lease of life
The Hebei No. 1 Residential Complex in Jiangchuan Road Subdistrict was renovated, giving residents new public space and greenery.
Over 2,800 families lived in this 1990s estate. The public recreational grounds, which cover over 1,000 square meters with 900 square meters of green space, have been neglected for years. After land leveling and turf laying, children and seniors enjoy playing and walking there.
Children's garden
The Putao Whale Garden opened on February 1.
Located in the Pujiang Town Civil Sports Center, it offers child-friendly sports facilities and has a fitness system for all ages. The outdoor sports venue, with its "Ocean Exploration" and "Physical Challenge" themes, caters to children of various age groups for physical activity.
Commercial complex
The Hongluli commercial complex at the intersection of Meifu and Jinmei roads is set to open in June. Spanning 12,543 square meters, the five-story complex with a basement will house supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, bakeries and pet services, along with a Silicon Valley–style innovation hub for tech entrepreneurs offering shared workspaces and facilities.
Xintan's street art
After renovation, wall paintings and three-dimensional street art cover Xinzhuang Town's Xintan Road. Artist-commissioned murals of rare animals and plants adorn the street walls alongside infrastructure upgrades.
Fengpu Bridge ramp
The jacking operation for the approach ramp of Fengpu Bridge (west section) has been completed, achieving a maximum lifting height of 8.896 meters. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
West section renovations and construction began in March 2025. Once completed, the west and east sections of the Fengpu Bridge will form a dual carriageway with six vehicle lanes, increasing the S4 Highway's transport capacity.
