Shanghai Marathon Cancels Fitness Run & Charity Quotas

The fitness run and charity quotas of the 2025 Shanghai Marathon have been canceled, according to an official announcement on October 25.

To compensate those affected, full refunds will be issued starting November 3 for registration fees, as well as for any paid photos and videos.

For participants who booked travel or accommodations before October 25 for the event period (November 28–December 1), the committee will cover cancellation fees for tickets and hotel bookings.

Participants wishing to claim these compensations need to register by scanning the provided QR code before midnight on October 31.

The organizing committee also announced a supplementary lottery draw for the full marathon registration. The results of this draw will be announced on the afternoon of October 27.

The 2025 Shanghai Marathon is scheduled to take place on November 30.
