A fugitive who had been on the run for eight years called to turn himself in recently in China’s Zhejiang Province.
He beat and injured two people when he was running a small diner back at the time.
He decided to run away after he found out he would probably face a penalty and fine.
He told police that regular ID checks during the novel coronavirus outbreak gave him extra stress, so he decided to turn himself in.
