Process for registration of temporary residence for foreigners in China

According to the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China, every foreigner must fill in the accommodation registration form within 24 hours after arrival. Where foreigners stay in hotels, hotels shall register their accommodation, issue certificates of accommodation registration, and submit foreigners' accommodation registration information to the public security departments in the places where the hotels are located. Foreigners who live outside hotels or persons who accommodate them shall go through the registration formalities with the public security organs in the places of residence.

Where changes to residence address occur, the accommodation registration form shall be filled in again within 24 hours.

Step 2: Self-service accommodation registration reporting system for talents, available for Chinese, English, Japanese and South Korean, at (https://gaj.sh.gov.cn/crj/24hr/web/zcbd/login?locale=en_US)

Step 3: Submit after completing the relevant information
