Shanghai Retail Alliance Signs Deals with Global Suppliers at CIIE
As part of the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE), the Signing Ceremony of Procurement of the Large Retail Purchaser Alliance of Shanghai Trading Group was held Saturday at the National Exhibition and Convention Center.
Bailian Group and alliance members signed procurement agreements with suppliers from the Americas, Europe, Oceania, and Asia, covering consumer sectors including food and home goods, beauty and personal care, and medical devices.
This year, the alliance added three new members – Bailian Outlets Plaza (Qingpu), HotMaxx, and M&G Shop – expanding membership from 21 companies at its founding in 2018 to 43.
Representatives from Nestle, CP Group, IKEA China, Shiseido, Mayora Food, and Omron said CIIE provides a platform to deepen collaboration, broaden product offerings, and bring innovative services to Chinese consumers.
So far, alliance members have reached preliminary procurement intentions for 28 projects, with 13 agreements formally signed on-site.
Bailian is partnering with L'Oréal, Estée Lauder, and Shiseido to share operational and branding resources, while strengthening cooperation with Sankyo Seiko to introduce new products to China.
Lianhua has agreements with Pepsi, Yihai Kerry, Mayora Food, CP Group, Newland, and Unilever. No. 1 Pharmacy is working with Novo Nordisk and Omron on innovative medicines and health products. Sanlian is partnering with Johnson & Johnson Vision on premium contact lenses and related services.
