Shanghai is accelerating efforts to revitalize its key business districts, with an emphasis on the waterfront areas of Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek.

The renovation plans for 10 pilot business districts have entered the implementation phase, including the core area of Lujiazui and the Suzhou Creek Bay business quarter.

The core area of Lujiazui, the city's financial center, aims to build a pedestrian-friendly network that links landmark buildings with surrounding green spaces, offering citizens convenient access to the waterfront of Huangpu River and recreational facilities.

Suzhou Creek Bay business quarter pursues a vision of a lively waterfront area that integrates heritage preservation with modern development. Its plan involves the renovation of commercial buildings, with improvements to facades and public spaces that extend the waterfront's vibrancy into the heart of the city.
