The Sinan Full Moon Festival commenced at Sinan Mansions in Shanghai on Sept 29 and will run until Oct 2, featuring over 60 quality lifestyle brands, performances by more than 20 original musicians, four unique indoor exhibitions, and three art installations.

"This year's National Day holiday coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival, creating an atmosphere of completeness and reunion," said Fan Meichen, deputy general manager of Sinan Mansions. "We hope citizens will come to Sinan to enjoy the full moon and a lively, culture-rich holiday."

The festival is divided into four zones. The first quarter moon zone hosts the Xiaohongshu Design Week's forest market, featuring 11 national brands with exclusive lifestyle items. The full moon zone offers creative drinks and an INS Paradise pop-up. The last quarter moon zone provides Mid-Autumn cultural products and food, and the New Moon Zone showcases intangible cultural heritage brands, blending tradition with modernity.

Stage performances are a highlight, featuring folk groups like choirs and pipa (China's traditional four-stringed lute) orchestras, along with Chinese and foreign musicians—including Chen Yinxi, China's first jazz artist at the Netherlands' North Sea Jazz Festival, and Indian tabla master Mandy — for a cross-genre audio feast. Two yoga sessions will also be held at Fuxing Park and other venues on Sept 30 and Oct 2 to enrich the holiday experience.

The art installations create immersive interactive spaces, while the four indoor exhibitions cover diverse cultures. These include "Harry Potter Book Day", which replicates Christmas scenes and offers exclusive merchandise, and "The Full Moon Study", presenting 170 books recommended by 100 editors, plus an Eileen Chang-themed show.

From Oct 3 to 8, the four exhibitions, online interactions, and street music will continue, forming an all-day cultural-tourism consumption chain.
