Global Youth Join Hands to Tell the Story of a Vibrant Shanghai

The sixth season of "My Favorite Shanghai" has produced a new generation of outstanding young "City Ambassadors."

This year's theme, "I Am a City Ambassador," invited creators aged 6 to 17 to submit short videos highlighting urban life, traditional culture, and Chinese cuisine under the banner "Vibrant Shanghai, Lovable China."

Among nearly 2,000 entries, an international jury selected over 400 outstanding works for global display on multimedia platforms such as Knews and ShanghaiEye.

Caption: This year's event invited youth reviewers from foreign countries to share a global perspective on the video selection.

Among the first batch of ambassadors are Jasper Chan and Gu Tongyu from China, and Maya Wagener from Germany.

This year's jury panel were international students, foreign teachers, and media professionals from more than 20 countries. For the first time, youth reviewers from London, Berlin, and Reykjavík were invited, giving a more global perspective to the selection.

Many entries focusing on intangible cultural heritage, everyday urban life, and shopping experiences in Shanghai have become youthful footnotes to showcase the charm of the city.
