2 killed, 2 injured in stabbing in central China

Two children were killed and two others injured by a man in a primary school in central China’s Hunan Province Wednesday morning, the local government said.

The suspect, identified as a 31-year-old man surnamed Zheng, allegedly attacked the students using a knife at Wanquan Primary School in Ningyuan County at 7:16am, the county government said in an online statement.

The two injured students are undergoing medical treatment. Their injuries are not life-threatening, according to the statement.

Zheng has been apprehended by local police and further investigation is ongoing.
