China Eastern to Resume Shanghai-Delhi Flights in November

China Eastern Airlines will restart direct flights between Shanghai and Delhi on November 9.

The route will use an Airbus A330-200 aircraft and operate three times a week – on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Flight MU563 will leave Shanghai Pudong Airport at 12:50pm and arrive at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport at 5:45pm local time. The return flight, MU564, will depart Delhi at 7:55pm and reach Shanghai at 4:10am the next day. Tickets are now available for sale.

The route connects two key Asian cities and is considered an important air link between China and India. Delhi is India's political, economic, and cultural center. The resumed service is expected to support travel, business, and tourism between the two countries.

China Eastern said the A330-200 model offers a comfortable cabin and onboard Wi-Fi to meet travelers' work and communication needs.

The airline also provides convenient connections at its Shanghai Pudong hub to major Chinese cities and destinations in North America, Japan, South Korea, and Europe.

The carrier has been expanding routes to emerging markets in recent years. On November 30, it will open a new service between Beijing Daxing and Muscat, Oman.

On December 4, a Shanghai-Auckland-Buenos Aires route will start, linking China with Oceania and South America for the first time.

China Eastern is currently the largest Chinese airline for international passengers and a key operator supporting Shanghai's role as a global aviation hub.
