A passenger carried illegal explosives on a tour coach which led to a blast, killing 26 including himself and injuring 28 others in central China’s Hunan Province on March 22, investigation has found.
The 51-year-old passenger, Chen Jiansen, intended to take the coach to Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to solve a dispute with his business partner. He carried explosive materials in order to threaten or take revenge against his business partner if the negotiations failed, CCTV reported Saturday.
The explosives accidentally went off around 7:15pm on March 22, engulfing the 59-seater bus from neighboring Henan Province in flames on a highway in Hanshou County, CCTV said.
