Dates, Logo, Theme of 2027 Global Sci-Tech Communication Conference Unveiled

The dates, logo and theme of the 2027 World Conference on Public Communication of Science and Technology (PCST) have been unveiled in Shanghai, marking the start of preparations for the global event.

The announcement was made during the Shanghai Science Festival, which opened over the weekend.

Shanghai will host the conference from May 24 to 27 next year, becoming the first city in China to stage the event. Shanghai Jiao Tong University secured the hosting rights in 2023.

The event logo combines the Oriental Pearl TV Tower with the word "Shanghai," using a purple-to-blue gradient as its main color scheme.

Under the theme "Science Communication for a Shared Future: Engage, Empower, Enlighten," the conference will focus on how science communication can help build a more inclusive world.
