Over 100 Gaming Players Compete at 2025 Shanghai Esports Masters
The 2025 Shanghai Esports Masters began with a grand ceremony yesterday at the Jing'an Sports Center.
The fifth edition of this international competition highlights Shanghai's goal to establish itself as a "world capital of esports" and demonstrates the city's growing importance in the global gaming ecosystem.
This year's tournament is a record size, with four major competition titles: "Mobile Legends: Bang Bang," "Valorant," "Overwatch" and "Identity V."
More than 100 professional players will compete until Sunday.
This year's ticket prices start at 68 yuan (US$9.6) to make the event accessible to a wider audience. Ticket stubs can be used to redeem promotions in Jing'an's commercial venues, including Suhewan MixC World, CP Jing'an and Shanghai Jiuguang Center.
