Celebrations galore at Shanghai landmarks to mark Year of Snake

A variety of cultural activities will be held during the Spring Festival holiday from January 28 to February 4.

The Oriental Pearl Tower will welcome the Year of the Snake with a giant snake-themed installation.

The Shanghai Urban History and Development Museum will offer immersive experiences and flash mob activities of wax characters. Shanghai farce comedians will dress up and perform as wax figures.

The Oriental Riverside Hotel Shanghai and the Oriental Land will display Chinese folk arts and Spring Festival customs.

There will be parades, traditional lion dance performances, and participatory cultural events for children.

Sugar paintings, dough sculptures, papercutting, and Spring Festival couplets are other festive activity options for visitors.
