Apple Launches Limited-Time Half-Price Battery Replacement for IPhone 13 Series

Apple has announced a rare limited-time service for battery replacement for the entire iPhone 13 series, offering users a 45 percent discount on official battery replacements. The program commenced on January 7 and will conclude on April 30.

Under the service, owners of the iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max can replace their batteries for 399 yuan (US$57.10), down from the original price of 729 yuan (US$104.30). The offer is available exclusively through Apple authorized service providers. Some authorized providers are also offering door-to-door battery replacement services.

How to Make an Appointment

Users can book the service by downloading the Apple Support app, selecting their iPhone 13 device, choosing "Repair and Physical Damage," then "Battery Service," and proceeding to "Schedule a Repair." While the app may still display the original 729 yuan, the discounted rate applies at participating authorized service centers. Users are suggested to back up their data before repairing or erasing the device if they have privacy concerns.

For users running iOS versions below 18.0 and unable to install the Apple Support app, appointments can be made directly through Apple's official website.

Why the Service Matters

At 399 yuan, the price of an official Apple battery replacement is now comparable to high-quality third-party batteries, including labor costs. However, original batteries offer clear advantages, such as seamless system compatibility, no warning pop-ups, accurate battery health readings and better after-sales service.
