High-level projects to optimize shipping environment launched in Lin-gang

The 2025 DSH International Shipping Innovation Conference was held on Nov 20 in Shanghai's Lin-gang Special Area. Six high-level shipping projects were launched at the event.

The International Ship Registration Service Center provides shipping enterprises with maritime and shipping administrative permits and approvals, including vessel registration and crew management.

The Shanghai base of the multimodal transport hub for the Yangtze River Economic Belt offers government and transportation services, as well as facilitating international cooperation. Through data sharing, it helps integrate online and on-site government and business affairs.

The China-Europe shipping digital supply service platform and the International Shipping Green Energy Certification Public Service Platform were launched at the conference.

Since its trial operation, the China-Europe platform has completed 58 full-process digital maritime fuel bunkering operations, delivering 93,000 metric tons of fuel while reducing vessel idle time by over 30 percent.

The International Shipping Green Energy Certification Public Service Platform will provide comprehensive services, including hydrogen-based fuel certification and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism inquiries, promoting the low-carbon transformation of the shipping industry.

To support Shanghai's development as an international shipping center, Lin-gang is focusing on improving its soft environment and service capabilities, continuously attracting functional and service projects such as ship management, maritime services, seafarer training, shipping finance, shipping insurance, and maritime arbitration.
