China Immigration's service hotline 12367 launched a French-language service on Thursday.

Callers can now select their preferred language directly from the voice menu. English-speaking users get instant responses, while those choosing French, Russian, Japanese or Korean are right away switched to a three-party call featuring the user, an interpreter and a service agent.

As the national immigration "customer service center," 12367 is available via phone, app, website, as well as WeChat and Alipay mini-programs, offering 24/7 multilingual assistance.

Since its launch in April 2021, the hotline has handled over 20 million inquiries from 165 countries and regions, achieving a satisfaction rate of nearly 99 percent.
