Summer's fun at Shanghai International Resort

A number of activities are igniting a passion for summer and adding a splash of color at the Shanghai International Resort, an iconic attraction in the Pudong New Area.

The 2025 Shanghai Lavender Festival is ongoing at the resort, with a dreamlike purple sea an enchanting sight. Lavender is in full bloom at present.

The Shanghai Lavender Park features 70,000 Provence Lavender plants, and this year's festival enriches the visitor experience with camping activities, live music, gourmet food markets, and art exhibitions.

The flowers will bloom through June.

On Saturday, the "2025 Great Wall Little Warriors Series · Shanghai Stop," co-initiated by World Athletics and the Chinese Athletics Association as part of the festival, was held at the 10K Dream Fitness Trail in the resort, attracting about 300 families in an event that combined fun and competitiveness, full of energy and challenges.

Competitors in the U6, U8, and U10 age groups, despite facing obstacles, worked hard and performed well.

Disneytown's Spring Food Fest is also taking place. Dine outdoors, feel the breeze and enjoy delicious food. A picnic at Wishing Star Park, surrounded by flowers and ducks, is a delightful option.

On June 14, visitors to the resort will be treated to a thrilling Dragon Boat race with athletes paddling on the glittering Wishing Star Lake and boats dashing out like arrows amid cheers, offering a spectacular experience.

Between June 17 and 22, the 2025 Belt and Road Film Week, an important part of the Shanghai International Film Festival, will bring an international audio-visual feast to the resort, inviting audiences to appreciate the integration of diverse cultures.
