Medical services in Shanghai during National Day holiday

Hospitals in Shanghai have announced their working schedules during the long National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays from October 1 to 8. Each hospital has its own arrangement and all have been announced on their websites and public WeChat accounts.

The emergency services at hospitals and ambulance services are available all day and night.

Schedules of some major hospitals

Huashan Hospital in downtown Jing'an District will offer outpatient services on October 4 and 8, while its Worldwide Medical Center's outpatient clinic will be closed from October 1 to 8.

Zhongshan Hospital's outpatient clinic is available on October 4, 7 and 8.

Ruijin Hospital's outpatients operates on October 7 and 8.

Fudan University's Children Hospital announced that its outpatient service will be available throughout the long holiday for the convenience of children and their parents.

Fudan University's Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital will offer outpatients service on October 4, 5, 7 and 8. Its HPV vaccination clinic is open on October 8, when parents can take their eligible children and females can get the shots during the holiday, said the hospital, which has teamed up with local schools to promote knowledge and the importance of HPV vaccination among minors.

The hospital cooperated with Luwan Middle School to stage a play to explain the mechanism of the HPV vaccine in an interesting and easy-to-understand way to promote knowledge among students.

The hospital's international medical department will be open on October 7 and 8. The international medical department is available at both of the hospital's two locations in the Huangpu and Yangpu districts.

Both of the Xuhui and Fengxian branches of International Peace Maternity and Child Health Hospital will stop outpatients service from October 1 to 3 and on October 6. The Fengxian branch will also stop outpatients on October 5.

The hospital's Fengxian branch has just celebrated its third anniversary. During the past three years, the suburban district branch has offered over 1 million outpatients and emergency services and delivered over 20,000 babies, allowing patients to receive high-quality service near their home.

The branch has created many "firsts" in the city, including the first family ward allowing parents to stay with their sick newborn babies, the first clinic for pregnant women with sleeping disorders and the first uterine cavity disease clinic for pregnant women.

The international medical departments at the two branches are also working with the same schedule as the hospital.

Local international hospitals are also working hard to serve expatriates and those with emergency health service needs.

Parkway said its Parkway Shanghai Center Medical & Dental Center, Parkway Jin Qiao Medical & Dental Center, and Parkway Hong Qiao Medical Center will be closed from October 1 to 3 and 6, while Parkway Shanghai Hospital and Parkway Gleneagles Medical & Surgical Center will remain open during the holiday.

Jiahui International Hospital's outpatient department, Jiahui Health (Jing'an) Clinic and Jiahui Health (Yangpu) Clinic will be closed on October 1 to 3 and 6.

The inpatients and emergency departments of Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital will remain open during the holiday.
