Leapmotor A10 Resets the Benchmark for Entry-Level Electric Vehicles
Leapmotor, a Chinese electric car startup, launched the A10 model to make China's smart, pure-electric SUV market more accessible.
As a technology-popularizing strategic model, it costs 65,800 yuan (US$9,573.9), lowering the benchmark for high-tech 3.0-generation electric vehicles below 100,000.
The LiDAR-equipped A10 features a point-to-point navigation-assisted driving system and Qualcomm 8295 + 8650 dual flagship chips to handle full-scenario driving, from exiting the parking lot to parking in a slot. Leapmotor leveraged its independent R&D advantages.
The car's new World Model-assisted Driving System breaks the myth that "high configuration is only available in high-priced models." It allows global navigation without high-computing onboard chips.
The company announced that all Leapmotor LiDAR-equipped vehicles will have this advanced driving system, and owners will receive free OTA update services where hardware permits.
A high-performance oil-cooled electric drive assembly and 505km driving range allow business travelers to commute for a week in the A10. It charges from 30 percent to 80 percent in 16 minutes using 2.5C fast charging.
Along with its excellent performance, the model has elegant designs and luxurious interiors. Features include a 1.55-square-meter panoramic glass roof that blocks 99.9 percent of UV rays.
For infants and young children, the seat fabric meets direct skin contact standards. Its innovative storage trunk can hold 1,549 liters, making it convenient for long trips. Its ultra-high cabin space efficiency of 88.1 percent makes it cost-effective for families.
The model is designed and built to global export standards to meet sales goals. It will be sold in nearly 40 countries and regions in six exotic city-inspired colors: brown, green, blue, gray, silver, and pink.
The A10 costs 65,800 to 86,800 yuan and has four models with two driving ranges (403km and 505km). Buyers can receive up to 9,680 yuan in gifts until the end of the month.
Technology-driven intelligent electric vehicle company Leapmotor was founded in 2015. It ranks among the top new energy vehicle startups, with over 1,850 sales and service outlets and 1.2 million units delivered as of January 2026.
