National AI Pilot-Scale Healthcare Facility Debuts in Hangzhou
The National Artificial Intelligence Pilot-Scale Facility (Healthcare) · Zhejiang was unveiled in Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou City on December 20.
Focused on projects providing generic solutions for the healthcare industry, it strives to build a pilot-scale certification platform covering computing power assurance, data support, model research and development, verification and evaluation, as well as technology transfer.
The facility aims to provide basic support and pilot-scale certification services for healthcare facilities, research institutions and enterprises nationwide in their research and development of applied medical AI technologies and products.
The base has reserved 30 EFlops of computing capacity, accumulating 40 billion pieces of healthcare data and 28 high-quality data sets, and already attracted 16 high-level research hospitals to settle in.
Setting aside a 1-billion-yuan (US$142.28 million) market-oriented industry fund together with a 3-billion-yuan industry-specific fund, the facility looks to serve as a one-stop service center offering comprehensive services, including business registration, patent cultivation, talent recruitment, drug and medical device evaluation, and startup incubation.
