The wildcard qualifier for the 2025 World Snooker Shanghai Masters is being held in the downtown Shanghai Plaza.

Amateur snooker players and fans from around the country are fighting for the opportunity to compete against the world's top snooker masters.

The qualifier consists of two sessions - the first from July 4 to 6, and the second from July 11 to 13. Eight top players from each session enter the final on July 19 and 20. The champion and the runner-up will receive wildcard entry to this year's Shanghai Masters to be held from July 28 to August 3 at Luwan Indoor Stadium.

The invitational tournament continues to attract the world's top snooker players this year, including defending champion Judd Trump and Ronnie "Rocket" O'Sullivan. Among the top 16 seeds, five are from China, including local boy Ding Junhui and Asia's first World Championship winner Zhao Xintong.
