Remembering Waigang Guerrilla Force in Jiading

An exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the War of the Chinese People's Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War recently opened at the Waigang Guerrilla Force Historical Materials Exhibition Hall.

Following renovations and upgrades, the exhibition hall has reopened to the public.

People from all walks of life in Jiading came together to fight against Japanese aggression during the War of Resistance. Patriotic young individuals formed the Waigang guerrilla force, which played a crucial role during the conflict.

The hall reflects the indelible marks of the Jiading people's unyielding resistance. The exhibition uses detailed documents, realistic scene restorations and engaging formats to effectively convey the historical narrative of the military and civilian efforts in Jiading during the war.

Originally built in 2008, the hall underwent renovations and updates in 2016, focusing on the first-floor exhibition area. With the incorporation of historical images, real and replica weapons, books, multimedia displays, landscaping, video animations and reliefs, the exhibition content has been significantly enhanced through the application of technology.
