The Dunhuang Contemporary Art Museum, in collaboration with the Gansu Provincial Museum, will present a major exhibition titled TA: Higher Heights on July 18.

This exhibition explores the theme of ta, or towers, examining their significance and transformation within Chinese culture through the perspectives of space, ritual, and literature. It also highlights the rich tapestry of ideas that intersected and flourished along the ancient Silk Road.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view a collection of valuable artifacts from major Silk Road institutions, featuring pieces from the Gansu Provincial Museum, Dunhuang Museum, and Chongqing Baolin Museum.

The exhibition also includes international collaborations with the British Library and the International Dunhuang Programme. Over 20 artifacts and contemporary works by more than 20 creators will be showcased, spanning murals, artifacts, documents, videos, installations, and sound pieces.
