China Railway's 12306 platform clarified on July 1 that 3C certification is not required for power banks carried by passengers aboard high-speed trains.

There was confusion among train travelers after the Civil Aviation Administration announced that power banks lacking 3C certification, those with unclear labeling, or those that are under recall would be prohibited on domestic flights.

Many passengers wondered whether these regulations also applied to long-distance trains, especially with summer travel in full swing. However, Jiemian News reported that customer service at 12306 confirmed that railways still permit passengers to carry power banks with a maximum energy capacity of 100Wh without requiring 3C certification or specific brand names.

According to the 2022 "Catalogue of Prohibited and Restricted Items for Railway Passengers," the regulations regarding power banks on trains remain unchanged. Passengers are allowed to carry clearly labeled power banks with a rated energy of up to 100Wh.
